Driving under the influence

On Wednesday afternoon, officers from your Doncaster East Neighbourhood Policing Team located a male in Thorne who had recently failed to appear at Doncaster Magistrates Court in relation to a theft.

The male who had no driving licence was seen driving the vehicle below, which was also not registered to him or insured. 

Due to his demeanour, he was also arrested for driving a motor vehicle when unfit to do so through drink or drugs.

Whilst in Police custody, the male refused to engage with the intoxilyser process.

Damien Quean of Finkle Street in Thorne was charged with four road traffic offences and further remanded for court this morning whereby he was sentenced to a 20 week custodial sentence.
